uninstalling

I deleted the halflife sound selector because of one reason:

MY ORINGAL MIC STOPPED WORKING!!!!! I don't know it just fucking happened. I clear the key, redo the key, an it doesn't work. Not even the sound selector worked anymore. So then I go into steamapps an there are all these autoexec an configs, wtf! I open them an there like +play wav, etc, an I delete them cause they are related to the sound selector. Then there is a voice input of MC hammer an another one johnny something an I delete those.

Now when I go into game nothing still works, I go to options an the mic volume is all the way down, so I move it to max, an apply, but then it doesn't work an I go back to see it an it's back down again, wtf do I do!

Problem: Those .cfgs are not for HLSS (some are but not all). You deleted one for HL.
Solution: Find someone willing to give you thiers, or uninstall steam, delete any folders left over, reinstall.
